KIRKLAND, Wash. — Northwest University Athletics is gearing up for an exciting week of competition after a strong, track-filled weekend on Saturday, March 28.
The Eagles' track and field team traveled to Tacoma, to compete at the Peyton-Shotwell Invitational, putting together a solid day of performances as the outdoor season continues to build momentum.
Now, attention shifts to a big week for Northwest beach volleyball as the program hosts its home tournament in Seattle at 4th Ave Beach on April 3–4.
Northwest opens tournament play on Friday, April 3, taking on The College of Idaho at 12:00 p.m., followed by a matchup against Southern Oregon University at 4:00 p.m. The action continues Saturday, April 4, with the Eagles facing Simpson University at 10:00 a.m. before closing the weekend against Southern Oregon at 2:00 p.m.
Saturday will also serve as Senior Day, as Northwest honors four student-athletes for their dedication and impact on the program: Masa Spela Jarc, Aubree Dees, Ava Hoy, and Ellie Vanberkum. The group has played a key role in building the culture and competitiveness of Northwest beach volleyball.
With strong momentum from the track team and a full slate of home competition ahead, it shapes up to be an exciting week for Northwest Athletics.
