Upcoming Events: Northwest Track and Field Heads to Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa

KIRKLAND, Wash. – Northwest University track and field continues its outdoor season this week following a strong performance at the Central Washington Wildcat Invite in Ellensburg, Washington. The Eagles now turn their focus to one of the premier meets of the season, as they travel to Azusa, California, for the Bryan Clay Invitational, hosted by Azusa Pacific University, April 16–18.

Last weekend, Northwest made the trip to Ellensburg to compete at the CWU Open, where the team saw multiple standout performances across both the men's and women's squads. The meet provided another opportunity for the Eagles to continue building momentum, with several athletes recording personal bests, season bests, and top finishes in their respective events. From distance races to field events, Northwest showed growth and depth as the outdoor season continues to progress.

That next challenge comes this week at the Bryan Clay Invitational, one of the top distance-focused meets on the West Coast. Hosted by Azusa Pacific University, the meet brings together elite collegiate and professional athletes from across the country, creating a highly competitive environment and a great opportunity for Northwest athletes to chase fast times and qualifying standards.

As the season continues to build toward conference championships, every meet becomes increasingly important. The Eagles will look to carry over the confidence and momentum from last weekend's performances into this next opportunity in Azusa.

Fans and supporters can follow along with the action throughout the week. Live results and the full meet schedule will be available on the NU Athletics website.

The Eagles look forward to another strong showing as they continue their outdoor campaign in California.
