Knights Hot Shooting in Second Half Too Much for NU

Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. – Warner Pacific shot 62 percent in the second half to hold off Northwest University for  an 85-76 CCC victory tonight on Knight senior night.

Warner Pacific would take an early 15-5 lead over the Eagles in the first three minutes of play as Jordan Wilcox drained a 3-pointer.  With WPC leading 25-20 at the 11:00 mark, Northwest would chip away at the Knight's lead outscoring WPC 7-0 to take a 27-25 lead on a trey by Victoria Makin. Warner Pac would battle back to tie the game and lead by four 33-29 at the 4:03 mark. NU would close the gap to 33-31, but the Knights would go on a 4-2 run to end the half for the 37-31 lead.

A 14-3 run to start the second half would give Warner Pacific a 51-34 lead with 14:44 left in the game. The Knights would continue to lead the entire half and would stretch their lead to 18 several times. Northwest U would battle back, but the closest they would get to the Knights would seven as WPC would go on to post the victory.

Chanara Greene would register another double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Junior Jordan Asher would add 15 points and six assists while freshman guard Charmaine Bradford would add 12 points and six assists. NU would shoot 42 percent for the game and hit 10 of 18 free throws for 56 percent.

Jordan Wilcox Led Warner Pacific (11-16, 4-11 CCC) with a game high 21 points and 8 assists while teammate Lisa Chiem added 20 points for the Knights. Lindsay Loe chipped in 16 points for WPC. The Knights shot 52 percent for the game and outrebounded Northwest 40 to 36.
