KIRKLAND – The Northwest Eagles begin their ninth consecutive postseason Tuesday in Springfield, Oregon, taking on Southern Oregon at 8 p.m.

The 13-4 Eagles get right back in the saddle against the team that beat them last when they play Southern Oregon Tuesday in the first round of the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament. The Raiders spoiled Senior Day for Northwest with a 1-0 win. The only goal was an own-goal. That game was 24 hours after the Eagles had lost their hold on the Cascade Collegiate Conference regular-season crown against Oregon Tech.

The Eagles and Raiders met in the first round last year as well with NU claiming a 2-0 win.
Rylee Rassier had a goal in that game. Northwest has made every conference tournament since 2010.

A win places Northwest into the semifinals. The tournament is re-seeded after the first round with the highest remaining seed taking on the lowest remaining seed on one semifinal and the second-highest seed facing the second-lowest remaining seed. Oregon Tech is the top seed, followed by Eastern Oregon, Rocky Mountain, Northwest, Southern Oregon, College of Idaho, Carroll, and Corban.

Rylee Rassier and
Callie Wright are the first Northwest women's soccer teammates to each eclipse 10 goals in a season. Rassier has 16 goals this season, which ranks 28st nationally. Wright has 14 and is 43rd in the NAIA. Their seasons are currently third and fourth on the single-season scoring list at NU.

Rylee Rassier has seven game-winning goals this season, which ranks sixth in the NAIA and is a school single-season record.
Olivia Morris is 34
th in the NAIA with her four game-winners.

The Eagles are 32
nd in the NAIA with 2.11 assists per game, led by
Olivia Morris, who is No. 19 in the nation with 11 assists. Morris tied
Jaclyn Metz's school record of 11 assists in a season last month.Â

Kat Sanchez has a school-record 24 shutouts in her career. Sanchez is 37
th nationally with a 0.68 goals-against average this season. Northwest is 44
th in the NAIA with eight shutouts this year.

Southern Oregon is 10-5-2 on the season and enters the postseason on a five-game winning streak. Baylee Touey leads the Raiders with 18 points on eight goals and two assists.Â
