KIRKLAND – Northwest launches a three-game trip to Montana Thursday with a contest at Rocky Mountain College in Billings at 4:30 p.m. (Pacific), followed by two games in Great Falls against Montana State-Northern Friday at 1 p.m. and Providence Saturday at 11 a.m.

The Eagles are 1-2 after being outscored by Lewis and Clark 28-4 at the free throw line in their 85-69 setback. Sam Van Loo had 23 points for Northwest.Â

Rocky Mountain beat NU 78-58 last season in Kirkland, with Lexi Biggerstaff getting 10 points. MSU-N got a 64-57 victory over the Eagles last year in Kirkland, as Grace Meza scored 15. Providence registered a 70-49 win over Northwest in the Pav last season as well, with Sam Van Loo scoring 10 points.

NU's Livi Lindsey is third in NAIA Division II with 4.0 steals per game. She had nine in the season opener against Salish Kootenai. Lindsey, who had 23 steals last season, has 12 in three games.

th in the nation with 8.67 three-pointers per game. Ellesse FitzGerald gets a lot of credit for that stat. She is 16
th nationally with three three-pointers per game. Fitzgerald is shooting at 40.6 percent from the three-point line.

The Eagles are No. 34 in the nation in offensive rebounding. Van Loo leads that effort with seven offensive boards. Van Loo leads the team with 16 boards and 5.3 rebounds per game. Van Loo is 34
th in NAIA Division II in field goal percentage, hitting 54.5 percent of her shots. Livi Lindsey checks in at 52 percent. As a team, NU is shooting at a 35.3 percent clip.

Van Loo tops the scoring chart for Northwest at 14 points per game. Livi Lindsey and Ellesse FitzGerald are close behind at 12.0 and 11.7, respectively.
Maya DuChesne scored nine in her NU debut last weekend.

Rocky Mountain is off to a 3-1 start after opening the season with a loss. They knocked off Montana State-Billings last week, 66-65. The Battling Bears are NAIA Division I and are tough defensively, ranking sixth in defending three-pointers and 12
th in defensive rebounds. Markaela Francis leads the team with 15.8 points, 12 rebounds, 2 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game.

Montana State-Northern is 4-0 on the season after a 69-43 win over Corban. The Skylights are third in NAIA Division I in three-point shooting defense and fifth in field goal shooting defense and scoring defense. McKenzie Gunter leads the team with 13.8 points and 4.8 assists per game. Hailey Nicholson leads the squad with 7.5 rebounds, 1.8 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game.

Providence is 2-1 heading into the weekend after an 86-63 win over Corban. The Argos are second in NAIA Division I with 12 three-pointers and 91.3 points per game. Bailey Cartwright leads UP with 18.7 points, 10 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game. Emilee Maldonado is third nationally with 6.33 assists per game.
