KIRKLAND – Northwest takes on Pacific Lutheran Saturday in a non-conference game to shake off the cobwebs after a break for final exams.

The Eagles dipped to 2-7 on the season after a tough 82-77 loss at the hands of Oregon Tech on Dec. 7.
Athena Taylor and Grace Meza had 16 points each,
Maya DuChesne had 14, and Sam Van Loo added 10. Lexi Biggerstaff led with 10 rebounds and four assists.

Northwest had won four consecutive victories in its non-conference series with Pacific Lutheran before the Lutes took a 67-58 win last year in Kirkland. Madison Salisbury led PLU with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Alyx Fast paced the Eagles with 11 points.Â

Van Loo is a part of a trio of Eagles who own double-figure scoring averages. Van Loo averages 12.9, followed by Grace Meza at 10.5, and
Maya DuChesne at 10.4. Van Loo leads the team with a 55.3 percent field goal shooting mark, which is 23
rd nationally.

Van Loo leads the Eagles with 7.7 rebounds per game, including a team-best 27 offensive rebounds and 42 defensive boards. Northwest is 36
th in NAIA Division II in offensive rebounds with 14 per game. Livi Lindsey has 16 offensive rebounds, and Andi Kristinat has 10 this season.

Pacific Lutheran is 4-2 this season after a 73-65 home loss to Northwest Christian on Dec. 6. Katie Taylor averages 19.5 points per game, and Madison Salisbury gets 16.5 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. Emma Janousek averages 11.8 points to go with her team-leading 4.8 assists and 3.2 steals per game.
