KIRKLAND – Northwest gets back to Cascade Collegiate Conference action this weekend with contests at Corban and Northwest Christian Friday and Saturday. Both games are 5:30 p.m. starts.

Northwest fell to 2-8 Saturday with a 77-60 loss at Pacific Lutheran. Jackie Bento had eight points, and Sam Van Loo had 10 points to go with eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Corban has a three-game win streak in the series, including an 80-68 win in the CCC Quarterfinals last season. Van Loo led the Eagles with 16 points to go with nine rebounds. Jordan Woodvine scored 41 against NU.Â

Van Loo and
Maya DuChesne lead the Eagles in scoring at 12.6 points and 10 points per game, respectively. While Van Loo has scored all 57 of her baskets from inside the arch, DuChesne has 10 three-pointers and is shooting 50 percent from long range. Van Loo also is 18
th nationally with her 55.9 percent shooting from the field.

Van Loo leads the Eagles with 7.7 rebounds per game, including a team-best 31 offensive rebounds and 46 defensive boards. Northwest is 30
th in NAIA Division II in offensive rebounds with 14.3 per game. Van Loo is 46
th with 3.1 offensive rebounds per game.

Corban is 6-4 overall and 2-1 in the CCC after sweeping Walla Walla on the road Dec. 6-7. Jordan Woodvine is eighth in the nation at 20.11 points per game, and Shaelie Burgess is 26
th with 1.7 blocks per game. The Warriors are seventh with 31.6 defensive rebounds per game.Â

The Eagles swept the series with NCU last season, including a 65-56 win in Eugene. Van Loo had 14 points and nine rebounds for NU, while Sarah Reinecker came off the bench for a team-best 12 points for the Beacons.

Northwest Christian is 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the CCC after a 73-65 non-conference win over Pacific Lutheran Dec. 6. Kayce Mock is sixth nationally with 2.5 blocked shots per game, and the Beacons are fourth in the country at 5.33 swats per game. Morgan McKinney leads the team with 14.8 points per game.
