KIRKLAND – Northwest finishes off its five-game road swing Tuesday with a 6 p.m. contest at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon. The Eagles are 0-4 on the road this season.
The Eagles are coming off an 89-68 loss at the hands of Providence. Andi Kristinat led NU in that contest with 14 points, followed by Lexi Biggerstaff with 13 and Livi Lindsey with 11. Sam Van Loo had nine rebounds.
The Eagles have lost the last three contests against Linfield, including an 85-60 setback last season in Kirkland. Ellesse FitzGerald had 10 points to lead the Eagles in last year's contest.
Van Loo leads the team with 11.3 points per game, with three other players scoring eight or more points per contest. Ellesse FitzGerald checks in at 8.8, Lexi Biggerstaff gets 8.7, and Livi Lindsey averages 8.0.
Van Loo leads the Eagles with 6.8 rebounds per game, including a team-best 24 rebounds and 17 offensive boards. Northwest is 34th in NAIA Division II in offensive rebounds with 14.3 per game. Lindsey and Kristinat each have 10 offensive rebounds this season.
Linfield is 4-3 after a pair of losses against Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho last weekend. All seven Wildcat games have been against the Cascade Collegiate Conference. Molly Danielson, who had 24 points and 10 rebounds against the Eagles last year, leads the team with 19.1 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. Kory Oleson checks in at 17 points per game. Oleson scored 28 points in Kirkland last season.
