KIRKLAND, Wash. – Northwest returns to women's soccer action Wednesday with a 4:30 p.m. match at Lewis & Clark College in Portland.

NU, ranked 20th in the NAIA preseason poll, rides a two-game win streak into the contest and seeks to go above the .500 mark for the first time this season. Last year, NU's NAIA quarterfinal team did not get its head above water until Oct. 26 after a 0-5 start. All four of Northwest's games this season have been determined by a single goal.

Rylee Rassier leads the Eagles this season with four points on two goals. Olivia Morris and Callie Wright have one goal each for two points apiece. Stephanie Wilson has the lone assist for the squad for one point.

The Northwest defense is allowing 11 shots, with six shots on goal, per game. The Eagles are third in the Cascade Collegiate Conference with 1.00 goals allowed per game.

Kat Sanchez has 19 saves on the season. Sanchez is third in the Cascade Collegiate Conference and 47th in the NAIA in saves per game (6.33). Kiersten Patefield picked up a shutout Saturday after going untested at Puget Sound.

NU Head Coach Bryan Chud already holds a place in the NU Hall of Fame after his strong playing career on the men's team. He owns four single-season records for the NU men. Now he lacks just five wins to catch Erin Redwine for the school record for coaching wins in women's soccer. Redwine finished with 46 wins over seven seasons. Chud got his 41st career win Saturday at Puget Sound.

Lewis & Clark comes in at 1-1-1 this season after a 1-0 win over Caltech Saturday. The Pioneers have scored two goals in three contests, with Julia Markman and Becca McCullough getting the honors. McCullough had the game winner last weekend. LCC averages 14 shots per game.

The Pioneers have used three goalkeepers. Milan Davis, who has not allowed a goal, leads with 134 minutes in three appearances. The Pioneers are members of the NCAA Division III Northwest Conference.
