Eagles Finish Regular Season with Victory

Box Score COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. – Northwest bounced back with a 59-47 win Saturday at Walla Walla to finish the regular season.

Andi Kristinat saved her best game of the season for the finale, scoring 23 points, including five three-pointers. Sam Van Loo added 11 points and 14 rebounds.

The Eagles head to the postseason next week, taking on top-seeded Northwest Christian in the first round of the Cascade Collegiate Conference Women's Basketball Tournament presented by U.S. Bank. That game begins at 7 p.m. in Eugene, Oregon.

"It was a better game tonight for the Lady Eagles," said NU Head Coach Ken Crawford. "I was really happy with the adjustments the team made and the way that we kept our focus and concentration. Now on to the playoffs!"

Kristinat started the game with a three-pointer, and NU raced out to a 9-1 lead, but Walla Walla closed the gap and took a brief lead before the half finished in a 25-25 deadlock.

Kristinat started the second half as she did the first, hitting a three-pointer on the first NU possession. She later went on a personal 5-0 run to give the Eagles a 42-31 lead with 2:56 left in the third quarter.

The Wolves got no closer than six points. A pair of Van Loo free throws with 29 seconds to play gave Northwest its largest lead of the night, 59-45.

Livi Lindsey had eight rebounds, and Van Loo led the team with three assists. Carolina Montes had 14 points to lead Walla Walla.
