KIRKLAND – Northwest concludes the regular season this weekend with a pair of 3 p.m. contests with Eastern Oregon on Friday and the College of Idaho on Saturday.

Northwest wrapped up a postseason berth with its win Saturday and will be looking to improve its seed in the last two games. NU currently resides in sixth place with 20 points. The College of Idaho is tied for second at 24, and Eastern Oregon is tied for fourth at 21. All three rounds of the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament are played in Oregon.Â

NU plans to honor four seniors on their last regular-season home game Saturday, saying goodbye to Taylor Beardmphl, Sarah Hommas Hansen,
Kierstin Patefield, and
Callie Wright.

The Eagles enter the weekend on a four-game winning streak after defeating Evergreen State 3-2 on Saturday.
Olivia Morris had a goal and an assist.
Elizabeth Moretti and
Gracie VanAssche also had goals, with VanAssche getting the game winner.
Anna Lau, Live Lagerquist, and Wright all had assists.

Nine Eagles have scored goals this season, led by Wright and
Claire Jo Diede with six apiece. VanAssche and Moretti have scored three apiece, and Morris,
Grace Burke, and
Kayla Soderstrom have two each. Wright and Diede are tied for seventh in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. Wright is fourth on the NU career goals list with 25.

Northwest and Eastern Oregon are all square in the history of the rivalry at 8-8-2. Eastern Oregon won last spring's match, 2-0. The teams haven't played in Kirkland since 2018.

In the 2-0 Eastern Oregon win last spring, Lindsay Balkenbush and Sarah Mitchell had goals for EOU. Morris had four shots on goal for the Eagles, and Patefield logged three saves.

Eastern Oregon is 10-4 overall and 7-3 in the CCC after a 2-0 win over Carroll on Friday. Morgan Farrington leads the Mountaineers with seven goals, followed by Kana Mateaki with five. Madeline Barker has allowed 0.60 goals per game and has 48 saves and six shoutouts.

Northwest owns a 7-5-4 lead in the rivalry with the Yotes, but the College of Idaho has a two-game winning streak in the series. The teams haven't met in Kirkland since 2017.

The College of Idaho won last spring in Caldwell, 2-0. Brynna Herridge and Megan Wilkinson had the C of I goals. Northwest had only four shots and no shots on goal.
Maya Lewis had two shots for NU.

The College of Idaho heads into the weekend at 11-4 overall and 8-2 in the conference after shutting out Carroll, 2-0, on Sunday. Lily Schlake leads the Yotes with seven goals and three assists. Shae Waters leads C of I with 33 saves and has allowed 0.84 goals per game.
