KIRKLAND –Northwest makes its first Cascade Collegiate Conference road trip of the season, with games Friday at Lewis-Clark State and Saturday at Walla Walla.
The Eagles tip off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Both Lewis-Clark State and Walla Walla require that face masks be worn inside per Cascade Collegiate Conference rules.
Friday's game features two teams off to great starts. The Eagles, at 5-1, are off to the best six-game start in school history, while Lewis-Clark State, at 6-0, is off to its best start since it won 14 straight games to start its 35-2 season in 2016-17.
Northwest has a 2-3 record against the Warriors, the last meeting coming in the 2018-19 season. LCSC won 89-53 in Kirkland. The last Eagles win came in the 2010-11 season when NU won at home, 70-47. This will be the first Cascade Collegiate Conference meeting between the two teams. In that 2018 contest,
Ellesse FitzGerald scored 13 points for the Eagles.
Lewis-Clark State kept its season-long win streak alive with a 113-39 win over Pacific Union. The Warriors have four players averaging double figures, led by Maddie Holm at 14 points per game. Holm shoots 47.6 percent from three-point range and 55 percent overall. She also leads the team at 10.5 rebounds per game and 10 steals. LCSC gets nearly 10 more rebounds per game than its opponents average this season.
Northwest is 20-2 all time against Walla Walla, having split the series in 2019-20. Both games were played on the road, and NU won the last match-up 59-47.

Sam VanLoo adding 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Walla Walla is 1-5 after a 63-50 win in Portland over Lewis & Clark College on Sunday. Carolina Montes-Estrada leads the Wolves at 18.3 points per game. Isabella Robles leads the team with 7.2 rebounds per game.
Northwest claimed a 66-54 win over Evergreen State last week, with VanLoo getting a 16-point, 12-rebound double-double.
Caitlin Monten came through with a big fourth quarter and 12 points.
Livi Lindsey leads the Eagles, averaging 11.5 points per game. VanLoo (9.8) and
Grace Meza (9.5) are just off the double-figure scoring pace. The Eagles have managed their best start at 5-1, with no player shooting above 27 percent from three-point range.
VanLoo leads the Eagles with eight rebounds per game.
Lindsey has a career 115 steals with 16 this season. She is just the seventh player to reach 100 career steals in an NU uniform. The school record is 117.
