KIRKLAND – Northwest hits Interstate 5 this weekend for a pair of Cascade Collegiate Conference games in Portland, taking on Warner Pacific Friday at 5:30 p.m. and Multnomah at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

According to each school's website, Warner Pacific requires spectators to wear masks in the gym, while Multnomah has a vaccine/negative test requirement similar to Northwest's.

The Eagles are 8-2 on the season after
Grace Meza scored 16 points and nine rebounds in a 62-51 win over Pacific Lutheran on Saturday.

Sam VanLoo (14) and
Livi Lindsey (11) are the lone Eagles averaging double figures in points against CCC opponents. VanLoo averages 11.7 rebounds per conference contest. VanLoo, Meza, and
Maya DuChesne have distributed 3.3 assists each per league game.

VanLoo leads the Cascade Collegiate Conference with 2.1 blocks per game. She is fourth in the league at 54.5 percent shooting from the field. DuChesne is fourth at 3.6 assists per game.Â

Northwest is 14-27 all time against Warner Pacific, but the Eagles have won the last two as well as three of the last four games. NU has won the last three games played in Portland, including an 82-75 win last spring. VanLoo, DuChesne,
Andie Kristinat, and Meza all reached double figures in the scoring column, led by VanLoo with 15 points.
Caitlin Monten grabbed nine rebounds in 15 minutes. Courtney Jackson had 20 points for the Knights in that game.

Warner Pacific is 4-3 after a 67-60 loss at George Fox on Friday, but the Knights are 3-0 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.Â

Jackson leads WPU with 19.3 points per game, followed by Lynden Harry at 12.3. Kylie Guelsdorf leads Warner Pacific with 6.6 rebounds per game, and Anna Farmer paces the team with 27 assists and 18 steals.

Northwest is 21-1 in its rivalry with Multnomah and has won the last five meetings. MU hasn't beaten the Eagles in Portland. Northwest won the last meeting last spring, 85-70. In that game, Kristinat and Lindsey had 14 points each, and Meza added 12. Maddie Hill paced the Lions with 12 points and four assists.

Multnomah is 1-8 this season after picking up its first conference win of the season on Dec. 4, 70-58, over Corban. The Lions are 1-2 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference with all three games on their home floor. MU plays home games against Mount Vernon Nazarene on Thursday and Evergreen State on Friday before taking on NU for its third tip-off in 49 hours.Â
