Women's Soccer Signs Peterson

KIRKLAND – Sumner High School soccer standout Karli Peterson signed to play soccer at Northwest next fall.

Peterson, a 5-4 midfielder/defender from Lake Tapps, captained the SHS squad in 2018-19 and has been part of the program's 12 consecutive State playoffs. She also plays club soccer for Mount Rainier Football Club.

"Karli came to us late in the recruiting process this year, but I was very impressed by her attitude, work ethic, and her immediate understanding of our team philosophy," said NU Head Coach Bryan Chud. "She is a great addition to our program on and off the field, and I look forward to having her with us."

The daughter of Brian and Justine Peterson, Karli attends Lake Tapps Community Church and volunteers at Reality Sports, Servus Conference, and #NoPlaceLeft. She is a member of the National Honor Society.

Peterson also was recruited by George Fox.

"I chose Northwest because of the opportunity it gives me to grow spiritually, mentally, and physically in my sport as well as in my education," Peterson said.
