KIRKLAND – Sumner High School soccer standout Karli Peterson signed to play soccer at Northwest next fall.
Â
Peterson, a 5-4 midfielder/defender from Lake Tapps, captained the SHS squad in 2018-19 and has been part of the program's 12 consecutive State playoffs. She also plays club soccer for Mount Rainier Football Club.
Â
"Karli came to us late in the recruiting process this year, but I was very impressed by her attitude, work ethic, and her immediate understanding of our team philosophy," said NU Head Coach
Bryan Chud. "She is a great addition to our program on and off the field, and I look forward to having her with us."
Â
The daughter of Brian and Justine Peterson, Karli attends Lake Tapps Community Church and volunteers at Reality Sports, Servus Conference, and #NoPlaceLeft. She is a member of the National Honor Society.
Â
Peterson also was recruited by George Fox.
Â
"I chose Northwest because of the opportunity it gives me to grow spiritually, mentally, and physically in my sport as well as in my education," Peterson said.
