KIRKLAND – For its first road trip of the second half of the conference season, Northwest visits Southern Oregon at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and Oregon Tech at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Southern Oregon requires visitors to supply proof of Covid-19 vaccination or a negative PCR Covid-19 test within 48 hours of game time. At-home tests are not acceptable. Individuals under 12 years of age, who are not eligible to be vaccinated, are not required to be tested for entry. Masks are still required. Oregon Tech requires masks and, subject to change, does not require proof of vaccination.Â

NU (12-8 overall, 6-7 in the CCC) gets double-figure scoring from three players, led by
Livi Lindsey at 11.8.
Grace Meza averages 11.5, and
Sam VanLoo checks in at 10.9. Each of those players also leads in different shooting percentage categories. VanLoo shoots 52.7 percent from the field, Meza 81.3 percent from the free-throw line, and Lindsey 33.3 percent from the three-point arc.Â

Northwest suffered its third close loss in the last four games with a gut-wrenching 62-61 home setback against Lewis-Clark State on Saturday. The Eagles had a two-point lead and the ball with 3.6 seconds remaining. Meza led the Eagles with 20 points, with Lindsey adding 11 and
Shelaine Lorenz 10. VanLoo had 10 rebounds and a team-high seven assists.Â

Southern Oregon is 31-9 against Northwest over the years, including a 72-54 win in Kirkland last month. Meza had 16 points, and Lindsey added 12 for the Eagles in that loss. Syd'Nee Fryar led the Raiders with 14 points and six rebounds, with Kami Walk adding another 14 points.Â

Southern Oregon lost two road games last weekend at the College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon to dip to 17-4 overall and 10-3 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. SOU is led by Walk at 16.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. Fryar adds 9.9 points per game and leads the Raiders with 35 assists and 43 steals.Â

Oregon Tech owns a 29-8 lead in the all-time series with the Eagles, including a 63-54 win at NU on New Year's Day. Meza had 10 points to lead the Eagles, who were without typical starters VanLoo and
Maya DuChesne. Maddyson Tull led OIT with 14 points.Â

Oregon Tech split two close games last weekend, falling in overtime at Eastern Oregon and getting a 69-67 win at the College of Idaho to improve to 15-5 overall and 8-5 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. Tull leads OIT at 12.4 points per game, with Shelby Blodgett right behind at 12.2. Blodgett leads the team with 6.9 rebounds per game. Abby Kreiser leads the Owls and is second nationally at 6.8 assists per game.Â
