KIRKLAND – Northwest launches its Cascade Collegiate Conference schedule this weekend with games at 5 p.m. on Friday against No. 13 Lewis-Clark State and 7 p.m. on Saturday against Walla Walla.

Northwest dipped to 2-2 on the season following a 68-55 loss to Providence on Nov. 19. Kyrin Baklund and Kylie Lunday had 13 points each in the game. Grace Harder had seven rebounds.Â

The Eagles are 2-5 in the Lewis-Clark State rivalry. Northwest lost both games of the series last season, including a 62-61 loss in Kirkland. NU leads the series with Walla Walla, 22-2. Northwest swept the series last season, including a 73-58 win in Kirkland.

Sara Muehlhausen hit two free throws with two seconds left to give the Warriors a 62-61 win in Kirkland last season. Maya DuChesne had eight points for the Eagles in the home loss to the Warriors. Callie Stevens led Lewis-Clark State with 18 points, and Heidi Sellmann had a 10-10 double-double in points and rebounds. Grace Meza had 22 points for the Eagles.

NU won 73-58 at home last season against Walla Walla, but none of this season's players scored, going 0-6 from the field. Grace Meza had 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Sam VanLoo had 15 points and 16 rebounds. Jaliyah Casem had 20 points to lead the Wolves.

Baklund and Lunday have led the Eagles this season with 12.3 points and 11 points per game, respectively. Lunday has done her damage inside, hitting 50 percent from in the lane. Baklund is hitting 47 percent from inside and is second on the team with four three-pointers and nine free throws.

Lewis-Clark is 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference after beating Walla Walla, 70-61, on Tuesday. LCSC is making its first road trip. Hannah Broyles averages 16.4 points to lead the Warriors. Stevens averages 15.2 points and 4.4 assists per game. Maddie Holm gets 12.2 points and nine rebounds per game.Â

Walla Walla is 1-3 overall and 0-1 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference after its 70-61 loss at Lewis-Clark State. WWU is 0-2 on the road this season with a six-point loss at Whitworth also under its belt. Casem leads the Wolves with 22.7 points per game. Chariah Daniels averages a double-double with 17.3 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. Clara Campos Wiltgen Guimaraes leads the team with 13 assists.
