KIRKLAND, WA - The Northwest University indoor and beach volleyball teams welcome Aubree Dees.
Dees is coming off of two highly decorated seasons at Bakersfield College in Bakersfield, CA. The setter earned 2023 Conference Player of the Year during her indoor season. Dees averaged 4.31 assists per set, 3.54 digs per set and 2.46 kills per set. The Tehachapi High School graduate received first team all-conference honors as a freshman during her debut beach season. Other accolades at Bakersfield include BC SAAC Female Athlete of the Year, Sports Medicine Female Athlete of the Year, and Most Valuable Renegade.
"In our recruiting process, we want to identify student-athletes that are not only gifted but who also understand the power of using their gifts to make their team and teammates better," says Head Coach of the indoor team, Steve Bain. "It was clear from the start that Aubree understood this power and we are elated that Aubree has decided to bring her gifts to both the indoor and beach programs at Northwest University! On the court, Aubree is not only a versatile attacker, but she has also developed into an accomplished collegiate setter under the tutelage of Carl Ferreira, her coach at Bakersfield College. Clearly, Aubree's technical skills and physical attributes were central to the many accolades that she has received as a player, but we are even more excited about the leadership and competitive mindset that Aubree will bring to our program. Each one of Aubree's gifts will be a terrific fit with our program and we can't wait to see how her gifts continue to grow and impact her teammates!"
