KIRKLAND, WA - Northwest women's basketball players Beatrice Simon and Ellie DeWaard have been nominated for the 2024-25 College Sports Communications (CSC) Academic All-District Team award. 

The nominations are given to those with a GPA of a 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale at their respective institutions, and Simon and DeWaard both excelled on the court this season and in the classroom with these requirements. Simon will graduate this year with a degree in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in exercise science and education. 

"Bea and Ellie are the types of student athletes who exemplify what it means to be a student athletes," said Head Coach Randall Edens. "They are high achieving and high academic individuals who demand nothing from the best from themselves and set great examples to our athletes in our program."

Northwest University and NU Athletics are proud of Bea and Ellie and would like to congratulate them for their accomplishments.
