Box Score KIRKLAND, Wash. - A.J. Monterossi scored 33 points in leading Corban to a 75-52 conference win over Northwest University tonight. Monterossi hit 13 of 19 shots and went 7 for 7 from the free throw line to lead the Warriors.

Corban never trailed in the game as they got out to a good start hitting 5 of their first 8 shots to take an early 12-8 lead. Northwest U would manage to chip away and the game would see its only tie at 14-14 after
Marko Nikolic's lay-in off a
C.J. Carter steal. Corban would then reel off a 13-3 run as Kade Crossland would hit a 3-pointer with 3:07 to go in the half to give the Warriors a 27-17 lead. With Corban hitting 55% of their shots in the half and holding Northwest to 33%, the Warriors would take a 34-21 lead into the locker room at the half.

Corban's high percentage shots would continue to fall in the second half as they would slowly extend their lead to 19, 49-30 with 15:45 left on the clock. Corban hit 58% of their shots, and an impressive 61.5% in the second half as their deliberate offense led to high percentage shots.
 A trey by NU's
Thomas Jordan would cut the Corban lead to 12 at 59-47 with 6:02 left in the game, but that would be the closest the Eagles would come as the Warriors pulled away at the end for the 75-52 conference win.

C.J. Carter led Northwest U (10-5, 1-3 CCC) with 14 points.
Nemanja Grujicic scored 13 points and added 7 rebounds while teammate
Dak Shagren contributed 12 for the Eagles. NU shot 39% for the game.

In addition to Monterossi's 33, Corban (8-3, 2-1 CCC) got 12 points from both Jordan Carter and Cyrus Ward with Ward leading the Warriors with 9 rebounds. Corban hit 8 of 10 free throws for an 80% average.

NU will now take a break for the holiday and resume play on December 30 at home when they host Thompson Rivers University from Kamloops, B.C., in a non-league contest.
