Warner Pacific Just Gets by Eagles

Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. – NU's Tanner Davis' 3-point attempt  with two seconds remaining would miss the mark as Warner Pacific would hold on to just get by the Eagles, 75-74, in an exciting Cascade Conference contest tonight on Bart Valentine Court.

Warner Pacific would break out to a 17-8 lead early in the first half and would maintain their lead the entire half. But, the Eagles would chip away at the lead and Alex Smith would sink a 3-pointer with 35 seconds on the clock to cut the WPC lead to nine, 46-47 as the half would end.

In the second half, the Knights would slowly build their lead back up to 14 at the 14:39 mark after Collin Malcom's dunk. But, once again, NU would battle back and Tanner Davis' trey at the 7:33 mark would make it a three point game, 67-64 and Jasdeep Singh would follow that with a lay-up in the paint to cut the WPC lead to one, 67-66. Warner pacific would once again build their lead to 9 at 4:59, 75-66, but that would be their last score as the Eagles would outscore WPC 8-0 the rest of the way with Davis' shot at the end just missing the mark for the win.
