Box Score CALDWELL, Idaho – No. 1 seed and No. 4 ranked College of Idaho barely got by the Eagles in the quarterfinals of the CCC tournament, 62-56, tonight in J.A. Albertson Center.

Early in the first half it looked as though the Yotes might run away with the game as they took an 18-8 lead at the 11:56 mark. But, the Eagles still had something to say and trailing 26-15 at the 7:15 mark, NU would go on a 12-3 run and Justice Martion's offensive rebound and put back would make it a two point game, 29-27 with 4 seconds to go as the half would end.

Martion would tie the game 45 seconds into the second half at 29-29 and Martion would score again to give the Eagles a 31-29 lead. Ryan Ricks would cap off a 12-4 NU run with a trey and the Eagles were on the edge of an upset with a 43-33 lead at the 14:43 mark. But, the No. 4 ranked Yotes would heat up and they would go on a 15-7 run to trail, 50-48 with 10:19 left in the game. Both teams would go on a scoring drought for nearly four minutes until Kaelan Hicks' basket would put NU up 52-48 at 6:31. C of I would outscore NU 9-0 to regain the lead, 57-52 with 4:12 and would go on to outscore the Eagles 5-4 the rest of the way for the 62-56 win to advance to the CCC semifinal.

Justice Martion led Northwest U in his final game with 16 points on 8 for 15 shooting. Christian Hakilimali dropped in 10 points and senior, Kaelan Hicks score 9 in his final appearance as an Eagle. NU shot 47% for the game, 46% from the 3-point line.

The College of Idaho (25-6) was led by Talon Pinckney's 19 points and 6 assists with teammate Nate Bruneel finishing with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Roosevelt Adams added 11 points for the Yotes who shot 42%. C of I out rebounded NU 33-23 including 10 offensive rebounds.

"It's disappointing to end the season with a loss," said Nu coach, Jeff Drinkwine, "but we have nothing to be ashamed of with our effort tonight against the 4th ranked team in the nation. Our guys gave it a great effort and I am very proud of the way we finished the year and the seniors ended their careers."
