KIRKLAND – Northwest takes its 4-1 record to Montana for an exhibition and two counting games this week, starting with an exhibition at Montana State-Billings Thursday at 6 p.m. (Pacific).

The Eagles then move on to Great Falls to take on Montana State-Northern at 3 p.m. (Pacific) Friday and Providence at 5 p.m. (Pacific) Saturday.

This will be the first meeting between Northwest and MSU-B and Montana State-Northern. Providence scored an 83-78 win over the Eagles last season. NU got 19 points and 14 rebounds from Hussayn Ford in that game.

Northwest is in the NAIA Top 10 in eight statistical categories, including being in the top four of three rebounding categories. The Eagles are second in rebounding margin at 19.6 and fourth in total rebound defense at 28.2 and total rebounds per game at 47.8. The team is sixth in defensive rebounds per game and 11
th in offensive rebounds per game.Â

Hussayn Ford is third nationally with 12.2 rebounds per game, eighth with 8.6 defensive rebounds per game, and 13
th with 3.6 offensive rebounds per game. Cesar Sandoval averages 6.2 rebounds off the bench.Â

NU is ranked in the top 10 nationally in four offensive categories. The Eagles are fourth with 21 assists per game, fifth with a field goal percentage of 53.1, eighth in scoring margin at 27.8, and ninth with 95.8 points per game.

Ford, who has scored in double figures in all 35 games of his Northwest career, has had a double-double in his last eight games. Ford is second in NAIA Division II with his five double-doubles this season. His 16-rebound game against Linfield is the 13
th-best rebound performance of the season.Â

Ford leads NU with 17.6 points per game, leading a quintet of double-figure scorers. Cesar Sandoval averages 14.2 points per game, Christian Hakilimali averages 11.8,
Dejwan Walker 11.4, and Tre Newman 10.6. Three other players (
Tanner Davis, Jase Paulsen, and Ryan Ricks) have had double-figure scoring games.

Montana State-Billings is 1-2 this season after losses to Point Loma and Minot State. Brendan Howard leads the Yellowjackets with 22 points per game.Â
