KIRKLAND, WA - The Northwest beach volleyball team has earned the sportsmanship award for the 2025 season along with an honorable mention into all-conference. 

The Eagles were the standout program this season, displaying a competitive and compassionate character for themselves ,each other and for their opponents. They also exemplified what it meant to live out Colossians 3:23; working as if working for the Lord. 

Caitlyn James and Kylie Lunday were also nominated as honorable mentions for All-Conference. With nine total wins, the no. 1 pair led the young program into its first ever playoff appearance. 

"When I came into the Northwest beach program, I had a vision that the NU beach team could make some noise out here in the Pacific Northwest," said Head Coach Meng Bak. "With just one beach court and the girls' hard work, all our efforts have finally paid off. Last year we had zero conference wins and now we are going to Corban for the playoffs."
