Hall of Fame
The NU 1993 men’s basketball team won the ’93 NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) national championship under the leadership of head coach Doug Filan. The Eagles defeated Baptist Bible of Pennsylvania 85-69 for the title with NU hall of famer, Wes Davis, being named the tournament MVP and Pete Maravich Award winner, while teammate Jason Filan and Davis were named to the all-tournament team. Davis was also named a first team All-American; Erik Konsmo a 2nd team All-American; and Brock Baker earned honorable mention All-American honors.
