Northwest University Athletics

Schu-Beach was a four-year starter for Northwest's volleyball and basketball teams from 1987-1991. During her collegiate volleyball career, she was named to the NCCAA National All-Tournament team during her junior year and named a First Team All-American for her senior season. She is the only Northwest student-athlete to be named a first team All-American in both volleyball and basketball. During her basketball career, Shelly scored 873 points, grabbed 1,021 rebounds and blocked 233 shots. In her senior year, she averaged a double-double with 11.2 rebounds and 10.2 points per game. 

Shelly also contributed to three NCCAA National Championships and one second place finish in her four years at Northwest. She married Dan Beach in 1996 and they have two children, Hannah and Noah.

Shelly graduated from Northwest with a degree in biblical literature with a minor in missions.
